Go forth and fill your libraries with media.
Seriously, thanks to everyone for being so amazing and patient. You are the reason I love Vox.
I was just told that the Amazon Conduit will be fixed by tomorrow. I will post here as soon as I get word that it's back up and running.
I know this has been frustrating and I am sorry there wasn't more I could do to make it less so. I really appreciate your patience though.
Cheers,
Bad news. As many of you have probably noticed, the Amazon Conduit was not fixed in the last week's release. Unfortunately, there was an undetected bug that is preventing the conduit from working.
We are working on this bug fix and hope to have the Conduit back up and running this week.
I will keep you posted.
Thank you for being so patient.
I've just been informed that vox hunt doesn't exist anymore! There goes my easy subject matter for the times when I remember that vox exists. :(
I also found out that I had been promoted as the sole host of a group that I joined a couple of years ago. I wasn't even the earliest member of the group, that at least would have made some sense on the part of whoever promoted me before leaving the group. That was an odd experience. ;)
I'll have to come up with my own vox hunts, or something.
So today. Show me some Halloween decor you've got up this year! Something harvesty or just plain autumnal will do. If you don't have anything this year, but have some old favorites, share that instead.
Here's some of mine from this year:
Blog Action Day is every October 15th, when blogger are asked to post something about a single issue to show our strength and conviction as an online community. It's a great way to feel connected to the greater good, and the participation of so many bloggers to support the world's leading non-profit organizations is something you can do to help, right now. By blogging today, you're supporting some of the world's leading non-profits and sharing your voice for change.
This year's topic is climate change, and we'd love to read your thoughts on the topic. If you participate, leave us a link to your post in the comments, so we know to check out your post!
Go to www.blogactionday.org to learn more, get a badge for your blog showing your participation, and see some ideas for your post on climate change.
Can't wait to read your posts!

No, no, the thanks goes to you and Deathwish, Inc. for continuing to put out music with heart behind it.
For eight years now, you guys have pushed what it means to be a label, giving fans unique opportunities to experience some of the best extreme, and otherwise, aural statements around, helping to keep the communities alive and positive.
I don't need to make another thread about how fantastic this endeavor has been and continues to be, but believe me it wouldn't be overkill as you collectively deserve nothing but praise.
The musical world gets stale quite easily and it is up to purist of artists to forge new directions, complete exciting hybrids, and unite people in their unending strive for purpose and togetherness...but how those experiments reach people is up to the keen ears of true art lovers who wish to share the passion of said artists. At this, Deathwish is rather remarkable.
Hell, the recent signing of the incredible Starkweather shows not only your taste as a label (aforementioned "keen ears"), but the respect you gather from the artists around you.
Each and every year, at least one album put out on this here hits home quite hard, reminds me why I adore music as much as I do and, again, for that the thanks goes to you all.
We all need to start somewhere as you, Jake, said so well, and for those of us who weren't around for the beginnings of this punk and hardcore movement, it is labels like this one who continuously make the community worth its while.
A bukkake of gratitude and appreciation all over your wonderful faces, Deathwish; and the best of luck in all future endeavors.
With love,
another loyal and grateful fan
Saw Converge for what I believe was my fourteenth time tonight in New Hampshire. Great show and boy is the new album going to slay.
Over the past few days I've been acquainted with a lovely variety of aural obnoxious maximus displeasures.
- On Tuesday, a car alarm went off every fifteen minutes from the hours of 9 pm until 7 am.
- A neighbor played an acoustic cover of "Take On Me," which reverberated between three building buildings, for two hours (I believe he was trying to record it)
- A scooter that drenches itself in a mechanical crunchy and quite clunky hum buzzing through the streets at any given time of day
- Myself incessantly tapping out of exhaustion
The Amazon Conduit will be working again on October 15, 2009. Thank you to everyone for your patience.
Have a great weekend,
daisy, Team Vox
I'm even more excited to go to Roma next spring after seeing this bit from the wonderful travel blog, Galavanting.tv.
